Life-changing advice from my Dad

2nd February 2021

When I was 16 and supposed to be studying for my exams, I wasn’t doing enough (any?) revision.

So my dad – who had a very high-powered job – said to me

“Nobody cares now that I once passed these school exams.
But if I hadn’t passed them, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now.
Now do some revision!”

Life-changing advice.

I revised, passed, and everything was fine.

My version of this?

Nobody cares now that I invested lots of time studying the best way to communicate, present with impact, overcome objections, and so on.

But if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t be doing what I do now.

So a question for you:

What do you need to master?

And have you invested enough time yet to master it?

If not, do so!

Nobody will care you’ve done it.

But you will.

And the people around you will.

This advice changed my life. Will it change yours?

Action Point

You know that one thing that holds you back? Invest time, resources, money… whatever you need, to master it.

And here are some handy hints that will also help.
